Dr. Xinyu Zhang is a post-doc in University of Massachusetts in Lowell working on emergent nanoscale synthesis of polymers and ceramics. Xinyu graduated with a Ph.D. degree in December 2005 from UT-Dallas and has expertise in the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured organic materials, inorganic oxides, carbon nanotube composites and novel nanocarbons. Sumedh is a 1st year graduate student in UMass Lowell in polymer chemistry working on the synthesis and characterization of parent- and block copolymers of polyaniline and polypyrrole. Sumedh graduated from UT-Dallas with an MS degree in chemistry (thesis submission stage).

Harsha Kolla |
Harsha was a Research Associate specializing in conducting polymer synthesis, instrumental analysis. Specialist in static and dynamic laser light scattering measurements and size exclusion chromatography. Instrumental support for the group. He joined SciTech in Connecticut in 04/06. |
Dr. Aimei Wu |
Aimei was a 2005 Ph.D. graduate from the group and has decided to stay on as a post-doctoral research associate. Expertise in the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured polypyrrole, polyaniline, and surfactant science. Also exploring new opportunities in the science of ammonium amalgams. |
Xianghui Wang |
After graduating from UT-Dallas in 2005, Xianghui decided to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical devices at UT-SWMC in Dallas. Her research was on developing transparent carbon nanotube coatings on novel organic light emitting diodes, organic field effect transistor, and organic memory storage devices.

Rashmi Kulkarni |
Rashmi was a graduate student in electrical engineering specializing in electronic devices using carbon nanotubes and conducting polymers. Devices include FETs, vapor sensors, and novel energy storage devices made from nanostructured carbon and inorganic oxides. She has now joined PlasticLogics in Cambridge, UK specializing in the flexible electronics. |
Erling Beck |
Erling is a 3rd year graduate student in chemistry department and is working on extending the sensor project (now reporting to Dr. Ray Baughman). |
